St.Therese School Community aims at imparting a sound education for the development of the entire personality of the child.

  • The school is a mixed school (boys & girls) and is open to pupils of all classes and creed.
  • Attendance on the first day of the school after holidays is compulsory. Students should be present in the school before the first bell.
  • At the first bell before every assembly the pupils will stand in silence whatever they are. At the second bell they will move in silence to line up in their proper places for the assembly.
  • The SILENCE BELL is to remind the students the value of silence. It is in silence men and women achieved wisdom and extraordinary courage to face the challenges of life. So at the sound of the silence Bell students will stop their conversation, play and other activities and maintain silence.
  • Every student is expected to keep up the good tone of the school by his good work and behavior. Disobedience, habitual idleness or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school justify on the spot dismissal. In serious cases, two official warnings will be given to the students before the final step is taken which may be done at any time. Warning shall be deemed sufficient even of implicit or unacknowledged.
  • Regularly and implicit obedience, politeness and courtesy in speech and conduct as well as cleanness of dress and person is a necessary part of our formation.
  • On all school days and for school functioned pupils should wear the school uniform.
  • Pupils should realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of the school on the part of the pupils will make them liable of disciplinary action.
  • Students are not to be noisy when passing through classrooms or the office. They should move in a disciplined manner. This is a part of that true education this school wishes to impart.
  • Neatness in writing, personal and general cleanliness, politeness and courtesy of speech are much emphasized. Therefore, scribbling on school desks or walls, stealing or damaging other person’s belongings or school property will be liable to punishment to the extent of suitable fine to cover the damage as well as suspension or even dismissal.
  • Pupils are expected to make good any damage done to building, furniture and library books. If the school undertakes the repairs, the parents will be charged to the same.
  • In the absence of the teacher the class leader is responsible for maintain silence and order in the class particularly at the beginning of each period.
  • The school is not responsible for books, money and other articles that are lost. It is not advisable for pupils to have money or valuable articles with them all books, Tiffin boxes etc. found in the campus will be disposed off after 15 days.
  • No books (expect those prescribed by the school), periodicals, calculators, mobiles or any such things should be brought in to the school.
  • No exemption can be granted from the compulsory games and PT unless a doctor’s certificate is submitted.
  • All students must possess a copy of the student’s Hand book which is to be brought to the class on all school days. A pupil who loses his/her Handbook will have to buy a new one. The headmistress may impose fine for faults committed against regularity or discipline. During school hours no child may leave the premises without the permissions of the Headmistress.
  • Parents or guardians are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the Management and that the Management has a right to say on what conditions it will admit or retain pupils in the school. Pupils shall not take part in any political activities. Persistent insubordination, malpractice in connection with examination, repeated and willful mischief which has an unwholesome influence on his fellow pupils will make a pupil liable to expulsion permanently or for a time at the discretion of the Headmistress.
  • Pupils should be particularly careful not to throw any papers or seeds etc. anywhere in the school premises. They should use the baskets and bins especially provided for this purpose.
  • All subjects are taught the medium of English, Malayalam, Hindi and Moral Science are also taught. Except in the Hindi and Malayalam periods the students are to speak in English.
